R-E-S-P-E-C-T

Shall we say a bit about manners tonight? Is it because so few people know how to utilize them anymore? Because certain values aren't as closely kept as they once were? Perhaps because I grew up in a household made up of English family members, manners were paramount. Respect to elders. You use "Ma'am" and "Sir." You said please and asked to be excused from the dinner table and you conversed with sophistication and respect with adults. That's how I grew up and I value that gentility now. What's more, I value it in others because the whole society now has exaggerated how we use respect. Ali G's version. Jay-z' version. What-fucking ever. I appreciate manners and proper RESPECT. We're talking Emily Post, beyotch.

I bring this subject up here in Kenz' colorful playland because our Mr. Hicks understands respect. God bless his parents who have infused in this man a maturity and an understanding of manners so inbred that he'll power through illness and fatigue and drudgery in order to be a remarkable role model and an object of respect to his public. Dude, you're so respectful and that more than anything else makes me admire you the most. It doesn't matter that you're a harp player or a bag boy at the Piggly Wiggly or Donald Trump. That you hold dear values shows your character.

And I hope for the love of sweet screaming Christ that you had some decent southern food on this tour. Chrissakes, you've been living in California. Have some fried food!
