How's everyone doing?
I've given up on the whole pictures thing. The thing I wanted to tell you is that I randomly went out last weekend and got a tattoo. NOW DON'T FREAK. I've wanted it for a couple months now at least, and I've planned it out. It's nothing like a cartoon character or anything of that sort.
I like it a lot and it actually has meaning to it. I got music notes around my wrist, with the words I Believe underneath of it. It's based off of the song "I Believe To My Soul" by Ray Charles. And I used the actual first half of the bar from the song. The neat thing about it is that if I ever need to cover it up, I can just wear a watch or something, and poof! It's gone. Lol.
The story side of it, is that I ran around town all day with my dad's girlfriend looking at prices and whatnot. Some places were really expensive, and others wanted to make the tattoo itself really large. The last place I went of course, could do what I wanted for a fair price. So after work that night, at 10pm I went to get it done. It only took about 45 minutes total, and wasn't that painful. As I walked into the place though, I got a phone call from my mom, my dad, my friend Kirstie, and Julie. I didn't mention it to my dad until the next day, but my mom likes it. Julie casually asked me what was up. "Oh not much, just sitting a tattoo parlor getting a tattoo." I loved Julie's response it still cracks me up, "What!? No Way?! Are You Serious?!" Lol.
At work I get a lot of people asking about it, "Is that real music?" "What's it mean?" "What do you believe in?" "Do you Believe you can fly?" (I get that one A LOT). And the strangest one was a lady asking me if it's to support Britney Spears newest perfume, "Believe." Um.... no. She even showed me a Britney Spears keychain! And I though we were obsessed... I don't think any of us actually have a keychain! haha... Well I'm out, headin' off to work! Have a great week... or day... or morning!

I always knew you were a bad-ass! ha! I think the tatoo sounds well thought out and very meaningful. It sounds nice. And I like that you can hide it with a watch.
I've thought on and off about getting a tiny rose tattoed somewhere ever since college, but never got around to it. Then I heard Ozzy Osbourne say, "Everyone's got tattos now. You want to be the one with NO tatooes. That's cool" I must be really cool then.
caryl, you and I are ragingly cool.
Haha.. true. Never thought of that. I forgot to mention though that I've already seen people stereotype me in the first couple of days. One lady asked me if it hurt, and I said "Nah, it was just a little sting, but I got used to it after awhile."
And she responded, "Oh, well you must've been drunk off of some shots of vodka then?" I immediately recognized it and decided to be a smart-ass.
"That strangely... was the only time I wasn't drunk off of vodka." I practically slammed the drive-thru window shut. But I can't be picky, there are going to be people who do and don't like it. It's just the last thing I am, is a rebel. Maybe a wanna-be rebel, but I'm a good kid at heart. Lol.
I have a keychain...
;-)
Kenzie, if you wanted a tatoo.. then by all means don't let others worry you.
I am not a tatoo person myself, but my daughter already wants one. I told her when she is of age.. go right ahead.. but not while living with me at home. ( I know, alittle bitchy but whatever) ;).. My guess, she'll be out on her own less than a week and have one!
As long as you're happy with it Kenzie.. that's all that matters. :)
