If I may be so bold as to retort to Ms. Kenzie's intriguing musing...temptation is a balanced plate of possibility. We are raised to keep temptations that hover around us in check; that our characters will bear the shiny reflection of positive resistance. That upright morality goes hand in hand with said resistance. Is it really any wonder why we are so drawn to the siren's song of temptation? Whether it's the sugared indulgence of the aforementioned Dove chocolate or the wild abandon of a kiss you shouldn't have indulged in--it feels good and it rouses the spirit. It's a little pinch that life gives your backside which reminds you temptations must occasionally be indulged to truly balance the tedium of everyday life.
Of course, we can't live our entire lives lolling in temptation as..much..as...we...would...love..to. We'd be as fat as houses, with a few choice STDs and a drinking problem. But you must give in to them now and again, wholeheartedly as the moment presents itself. Savor them without regret and do something honorable tomorrow.
Now, I think I'm going to go cook a pound of bacon. Or something.
Note to Kenz: We missed you on the chat and on this blog. Welcome back.
